[Lyrics]
(Verse 1)
Go for-ward, saints, to-wards to gate of hea-ven,
Let woes and hin-dran-ces nev-er you dis-may.
Led by the Spi-rit by the Fath-er giv-en,
How can you faint; and why this de-lay?
(Chorus)
For-ward still, for-ward still! Storm-ing the heights for hea-ven’s gate,
Eyes firm fix’d on Zi-on and Vic-to-ry!
At the port-als wait you un-num-ber’d an-gels,
Ea-ger to share hea-ven’s ec-sta-sy.
(Verse 2)
Let mock who may the way that you are tak-ing,
Be we but wit-ness-es, con-fi-dent and true.
Un-til the Spi-rit new dis-cip-les mak-ing,
In the true path gen-tly leads them too.
(Verse 3)
Till all shall join you in your heaven-ward go-ing,
Sheathe not your weap-on, nor let your war-fare cease.
Not till the rout of Sa-tan’s le-gions know-ing,
Soon comes the end, and the reign of peace.
